n. [Gr. gynaiko, womanly; aner, male]
(ARTHROPODA: Insecta)
In Hymenoptera, a male ant of certain parasitic and workerless genera that resembles a female rather than a worker, but having the same number of antennal joints and according to the genus may be wingless; a gynaecomorphic male.
